The Multi-Family Complaint-Based Inspections Program (Complaints) responds to habitability complaints regarding heating; plumbing; hot and cold running water; electrical lighting and wiring; waterproofing; and unsafe floors, stairways and ceilings in multi-family residential buildings. Most of the complaints are filed by tenants living in apartment buildings. The program attempts to respond to complaints within 72 hours, however most response times are within 24 hours.
